Farm Care was born in hopes of leveraging the company's decades of farming expertise and improving agricultural practices in less developed regions.

With that in mind, the app content is arranged in order of priorities and urgency to help farmers keep track of the weather and pests & diseases that are prevalent to their area.

To provide even more values, we decided to introduce four different digital farming tools to address specific needs that arise during our research

Simplify

There are 2 friction points that we wanted to address during this iteration.
Firstly, we’re asking for a lot of input from users. After working through with the agronomists, we thought that reducing the amount of input will improve the overall experience and might not affect the results significantly.
Secondly, users are given too many choices of fertiliser plans that they are unable to decide. This seems unnecessary and if we narrow down the options, we could greatly reduce the cognitive load for our users.

Integrate

The app is built around the idea of farming companion so the holistic approach is to create a connection between farming tools and farming activities.
After calculating fertilisers and generate the plan, users can choose to add it into their weekly activity. This has helped to streamline the process by breaking down fertiliser plan into week-by-week action items, while still leave some room for farmers to make decision on whether to follow the plan or substitute it with different fertiliser and dosage.

Rewards

Following the app’s recommendations may lead to good long-term results, but users are also incentivized by immediate benefits. To keep them engaged and increase their overall satisfaction, we’ve designed a reward program in which farmers can complete specific activities to earn points and exchange them for coupons.
